THE UPSTAIRS KEEP

De la Cruz presents the “The Upstairs Keep,” a contemporary twist on a keeping room, for the 44th San Francisco Decorator Showcase. Tasked with outfitting an unconventional, octagon-shaped space with expansive 20-foot dome ceilings, de la Cruz reimagined the keeping room in a soothing, monochrome palette punctuated with rich, contrasting textures. The result is an artful, multipurpose room set against sweeping Bay views that can be utilized from day to night, from morning meditation to Zoom calls to an intimate lounge for after-dinner libations.
